A cat eye is a beauty staple. Whether you’re an everyday fan or the ‘saving it for a special occasion’ type, you’ve probably worn this standard liner look at least once in your life. But not quite like this. Makeup artist Rebecca Theenaart is making the internet rounds with her blood and gore take on the classic makeup style. A little spirit gum, wax and fake blood and you’ve got something that looks straight off the Hell fall/winter 2018 runway.

Want to get in on all that bloody Halloween action? Here’s a little inspiration that’ll have you reaching for your makeup brushes in a whole new way.

The best part is that it doesn’t have to be neat.

Get graphic

Let that blood drip a little and paint in some white highlights for that added dimension.

Accent colour

Perfect for the black eyeliner addict who only wants a subtle hint of red.

An elegant cut crease

Blend everything perfectly but the blood.

Get Veiny

A light hand is required for this undead look. Bonus: your dark undereye circles will make your eyes pop.

Bloody Mod

This ’60s white shadow look is amped up by a (literal) cut crease.

Haute Scab

Don’t like the drip? This scabby version is just as dramatic.
