Mel B broke character during her Broadway performance of Chicago over the weekend, giving the audience a taste of her former persona with a few lyrics from the Spice Girls’ ‘Wannabe’.

We knew we should’ve booked that last minute ticket to NYC!

The 41-year-old talent has been playing Roxie Hart in the Broadway production, belting out show tune numbers for fans in New York for a couple months now, but during the final showing on Sunday night, she teased the audience with the first line from one of her old hits.

“I’m going to tell you something: So here’s a story from A to Z,” she starts, before laughing and pacing the stage as the crowd cheers. There were, apparently, more than a few Spice Girls fans in the audience.

“Here is a snippet of me last night doing my last show In @chicagomusical playing Roxie heart [sic] breaking character busting out some spice power,” she captioned the Instagram video.

Mel B joined the Broadway show, which ran from the 28th up until this past Sunday (February 19) at New York’s Ambassador Theatre, back in December. And while we’re pretty disappointed that we didn’t make it to the Big Apple to see Mel B in action, these snippets of her performance are pretty awesome.

The singer seems to have genuinely enjoyed her time on stage, sending a tweet after her final curtain call.

She also sent gratitude to her fans for all their support. Not only is she Scary Spice, she’s Graceful Spice, too.

This has us dreaming of a Spice Girls reunion: Broadway Edition. We’re not sure Vicky B would be on board–she seems ultra busy managing her brood and fashion empire–but it looks like Mel B had such a blast on stage. We’d love to see the whole gang in action in NYC.
