Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello show off their new puppy

There may be a lot going on in the world this week, but puppies always make everything better. So Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes had some pretty stellar timing when they introduced their new puppy Tarzan to the world on Tuesday night.“Hi Tarzan,” Mendes captioned a series of photos and videos showcasing an adorable yellow Labrador puppy on Instagram. In the first photo Mendes captured a close-up of the pup’s sweet face while he’s sitting on Cabello’s lap. Then, Mendes shared a video of the couple driving home with their new four-legged friend, as they coax him to look at the camera. (Fans will just have to look past the fact that Mendes was filming while driving, and Cabello didn’t appear to be wearing a seatbelt in the backseat.)

In a second video, the couple was finally at home as Tarzan put his nose right up to the camera. “He loves himself, that’s a good sign,” Cabello declared as Mendes laughed in the background. Then, in the last photo, the pup can be seen cuddled up on the floor behind Mendes’ back.It didn’t take long for the couple’s friends and followers to fawn over their new furry friend in the comments section. Hailey Bieber, Bazzi, and many other influencers quickly shared emojis and sentiments like “OMG” that properly captured the emotions puppies can bring out in people. “OH MY GOD, you did it!!” added photographer Miranda McDonald. “What a little squish!” wrote Mendes’ musical director and guitarist, Zubin Thakkar.The pup is just the latest addition to the Mendes-Cabello doggie brood. Tarzan joins their black German Shepherd Thunder, their Shih Tzu Leo, and their long-haired Chihuahua named Eugene. No word on how the dogs all get along just yet, but these fur parents certainly seem to have their hands full. Need more proof? Just consider their recent stroll with their first three dogs, which was hilariously caught on camera.

This past weekend the couple was walking their four-legged companions in Cabello’s Miami neighbourhood when something grabbed the dogs’ attention across the street. Naturally the owners struggled to maintain control as their fur babies ran all over the place, at one point even causing Cabello to trip. “Are you okay?” Mendes can be heard asking in the background. Eventually the pair managed to get back control and resumed their (kind of?) peaceful stroll.Now cue the fans everywhere who are staying tuned for more photos and updates.
