Canadian musician Shawn Mendes released his fourth full-length album, Wonder, and he proves over and over again that he's in love with his longtime girlfriend, Camila Cabello. The 14-track album features previously-released tracks like "Wonder" and "Monster," his collaboration with Justin Bieber, but it includes a handful more songs that are all about his love for Camilla. Hopefully, she retrieved that half of her heart in Havana and brought it back to the 305 where she's been quarantining with Shawn.

Throughout his new album, the Canadian singer croons over his girlfriend on tracks like "Dream," "Teach Me How To Love," "Always Been You," and "Can't Imagine."

In "Teach Me How To Love," Shawn sings about being devoted to exploring every inch of someone if they, well, teach him how to love. "Ooh, what do you desire? I'm inspired, I'll do it for you /  Won't you draw a map for me? / Laced with strawberries / And I'll get on my knees," Shawn sings. "Put my hands around you / Ooh, teach me how to / Touch you, tease, caress you, and please you / Teach me how to love / Put my hands around you / Ooh, teach me how to / Touch you, tease, caress you, and please you /Teach me, teach me, teach me how to love."

The song "Always Been You" screams Camila, especially after seeing the clip of In Wonder where Shawn says that every song he’s ever written is about Camila. “My song comes on the radio or something, and I’m like, ‘Everything’s about you. They’re all… They have always been about you,’” Mendes said. In the new song Shawn sings, "It's a fairytale I can't explain / Full of words I don't know how to say /And without a little twist of fate / I know I'd still be searching, baby/ I swear that you've been sent to save me / You're the only one that my heart keeps coming back to." So sweet!

Shawn does have some upbeat, dance songs on the album like the R&B vibes "Piece of You," "Higher, " and "305," which he refers to as the time in the song but it's also Miami's area code.

A few weeks before the album's release, the "In My Blood" singer sat down with Apple Music's Zane Lowe to discuss his album-making process, which happened in Miami while living with Camila and her parents and sister. "I was in panic for the first week being like, 'There's no way I'm going to make an album. And then when I started to settle into how nice it is to be in the same place every night, to have a movie time, to cook dinner with her family and to do laundry," he explained. "I know it all sounds really silly, but when you've been touring the world since you were 15 years old, I don't remember the last time I smelled laundry. It's a nice smell. It's a really calming smell." He also said that the pandemic has brought him "stillness" which has been a "really beautiful" thing for him.

After releasing the album, Camila posted his song "Song For No One" on her Instagram Story. The song is a slow, quiet, mesmerizing song about Shawn getting drunk and telling someone he loves them. The song feels like two songs in one because around the halfway point more instruments come through and make the song more heartfelt while the singer hits those high notes.

Along with his new album release, Shawn also dropped the new single from the album, titled "Call My Friends." He shared a behind-the-scenes video on Twitter where he first revealed the track to his fans. “We wrote ‘Call My Friends’ a while ago in Malibu,” Mendes explained in the video, “I think that ‘Call My Friends’ is one of the most exciting songs on the album because it has energy in it — it was one of the first songs that we wrote.” He said that the song also has lyrics that "felt very relevant to that feeling of being away from all my friends and family at home."

Fans of the 22-year-old singer took to Twitter to celebrate the release of Wonder.

In late November, the singer released Shawn Mendes: In Wonder on Netflix and he gave fans an inside look at his life and journey toward self-discovery while chronicling the past few years of his rise and 109-show, world arena tour. The film opens rather intimately with a steamy shower scene followed by Mendes walking out and wrapping himself with a towel. The singer explained to etalk's Tyrone Edwards why he decided to include that clip and start the whole film that way. “It was a pretty crazy move to start the film with me in the shower. There was something really vulnerable about that moment because that was the day after the São Paulo got cancelled, and I was in an extremely reflective mood,” Shawn said.

Shawn will be joining etalk again for etalk Open House, the series that features performances and exclusive interviews with incredible talent like The KillersJessie ReyezShaggyNiall Horan and more. Catch Shawn's etalk Open House on Monday night as part of etalk’s regular broadcast at 7 p.m. ET on CTV  and 7:30 p.m. on CTV2.
