For every kid that’s excited to have a water balloon fight during the dog days of summer, there’s a parent right behind them letting out a huge groan. It’s hard work, not to mention time consuming, to fill up each and every balloon with water and then carefully tie it up. Plus, let’s be honest, it’s usually the parents doing most of the grunt work.
Luckily, those days will soon be over thanks to a Texas dad. Father of eight, inventor Josh Malone has come up with a genius contraption (called Bunch O Balloons) that allows you to fill up 100 water balloons in two minutes flat. Yes, you read that right. 100 freaking water balloons ready at your kid’s finger tips sounds too good to be true, but Malone’s not kidding around. Here’s proof:
All you have to do is attach his contraption (which has 37 pre-connected balloons that automatically fill and tie themselves) onto a hose and turn the on the water.
Once they’re full, turn off the water and gently wiggle the hose to let them free.
Malone knew he had a winner on his hands and so he took the idea to Kickstarter hoping he could raise some serious cash for mass production. Unsurprisingly, people were very receptive to the idea. Although he only wanted to raise $10,000 to jump start the product, the people of the Internet have now raised close to $160,000.
Soon Malone will have made every parents’ summer dream come true. No more filling up water balloons one-by-one. Thank god.
