Snakes on a Plane: yet another film that makes us nervous to fly even though it’s so unrealistic and unlikely to happen in real life. Well, you may want to think again.

A domestic Mexican flight heading to Mexico City turned from a peaceful commute to a night straight out of the movie when a snake dropped into the passenger cabin. Luckily for us, Indalecio Medina, one of the passengers was able to capture the scene on video. Check out the video above to get a peek of the moving reptile.

Can you imagine sitting right under that snake? We would not want to be sitting there–especially when it nearly fell to the ground.

“I was reading a magazine and the passenger next to me saw it,'” said Medina. People sitting near the snake were able to move away from their seats before the snake fell. Then, passengers were able to trap the 3-foot snake with a blanket.

The plane landed safely in Mexico City where animal control quickly captured it.

“It was a frightening situation… but people remained calm because it didn’t get out of that space and nobody became hysterical,” Medina explained.

But we’re still curious about something: how in the world did a 3-foot snake get on a plane? Because we never want it to happen again.
