Nothing was more heartbreaking than when the Spice Girls went separate ways. We mean, that girl power was supposed to be forever! Their reunion tour in 2007, followed by their Olympic performance in 2012 made Spice fans around the world Holler with excitement.
Recently, the 20 year anniversary of the Spice Girls has been making Headlines and causing excitement! When Mel B started pushing for the girls to get back together, we couldn’t be happier, and when it was confirmed, we started breaking out the platform sneakers. We mean, Never Give Up On The Good Times, right?
But not all the Spice Girls feel the same way, and so it was no surprise when
Victoria Beckham Posh Spice, backed out. She does have a clothing empire and a super hot husband to tend to, so we’re not ones to judge. But when Mel C decided not to tour, our Sporty Spice hearts broke.
The three remaining girls decided to go through with the tour anyway. (thank goodness!) They’ve already started recording new music. You heard that right, new Spice Girls music. It’s all too good to be true, right?
Right, because your favourite girl group will have Something Kinda Funny happening before heading on their highly anticipated tour. Two more “Spice Girls” will be taking on the stage.
The Spice Girls are reportedly going to be holding auditions to replace Sporty and Posh. (How is this even allowed to happen?) As if some Wannabe could replace our childhood idols, just Stop. This is all Too Much.
Sources say that the auditions will officially be announced in the next few weeks, giving anyone the chance to be a Spice Girl. (If grade school fights with your friends about who got to be Baby Spice weren’t enough for you). I guess the old girls have to Move Over, for Generation Next.
So basically, right now we’re just Denying and hoping that Sporty and Posh will reconsider and make fans everywhere happy.
(Apologies for all the Spice Girls jokes, but we’re really passionate about this).
