Trying to be healthy over the holidays can be tough! From all the dinners and desserts, it seems like an impossible task. Fortunately, there’s high intensity workouts you can do in less time than it takes to make a hot chocolate and cozy up by the fire.

Peloton is all about creating fitness opportunities that work with your schedule, no matter how limited your time is, which is especially helpful this time of year. They offer a huge variety of classes with different instructors, music and class lengths, and because your bike is in your home, you can do a class whenever it’s convenient. You can even do “off the bike” exercises with the Peloton app when you’re visiting family.

But if you’re looking for a real bang for your buck during the holidays,  Peloton has 15 minute HIIT and Tabata classes. Yup, that means you can get in a great high intensity workout in just 15 minutes. In a HIIT class, you push yourself as hard as you can for 20-30 seconds, but then slow it right down and recover for another 20-30 seconds. Or if you’re doing a 1 to 2 ratio, you would push yourself for 30 seconds and then rest for a minute. With Tabata, your recovery is always going to be a 2 to 1 ratio – so it’s even harder than HIIT because you push yourself for twice as long as you get to rest for.

HIIT is great for your heart, increasing your metabolism and improving your overall health. Peloton’s amazing instructors are able to engage with you through the screen and keep you motivated. Participating in a variety of classes can strengthen your whole body, helping you become a more functional athlete. Peloton’s content is all about learning to empower yourself and become stronger. While you shouldn’t push yourself too hard, Peloton offers HIIT classes up to 30 minutes long and Tabata classes up to 45 minutes long.

Watch in the video clip above as Lainey and Melissa get a taste of a HIIT and Tabata workout.

If you like the sound of the Bike, but you’re not sure if you’re ready to commit yet, the Peloton 30 Day Home Trial is an amazing opportunity to try it out worry-free. Peloton will deliver the Bike to your home, so you can try it out for 30 days. If you’re still not sure after 30 days, the team will pick up the bike at no cost to you.

You can check out onepeloton.ca for full eligibility details.
