So you’ve just had a great workout – you’re sweaty, you’re feeling good, but your muscles are a little tight and you need to stretch. It’s time for some yoga, and lucky for you, instructor Kristin McGee and the Peloton app are here to help.

As part of your Peloton Digital Membership, you have access to a full-body fitness experience with class offerings both on and off the bike  – including strength, meditation, boot camp, stretching, cardio and of course yoga! Yoga is a great full-body workout – you’re supporting yourself on your hands and feet, which helps you build strength in your core, and improves your balance, flexibility and mobility. What’s more, when you’re cycling regularly, you’re repeating the same movement pattern over and over, so it’s good to counteract that with yoga.

On the app, there are lots of yoga options, including Flow, Power Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Pre and Post-Natal Yoga and Meditation. Flow has classes from beginner to advanced, so there’s something for everyone – and it’s great for cyclists that are used to movement because it’s kind of like a moving meditation. Power Yoga helps strengthen muscles; you move at a slightly faster pace than flow yoga, so it’s a more athletic, vigorous style of yoga. In Restorative Yoga you hold your body in positions where you can let go and relax, so it’s great for recovery days. Meditation helps with rest and recovery and provides motivation for a competitive edge, and Pre- and Post-Natal Yoga is a great low impact form of exercise, and a great segue back onto the bike after you’ve had a baby.

Peloton has a great Black Friday promotion coming up, available from November 18th – December 2nd! You get Free Works accessories with a bike purchase – a $319 value – which include cycling shoes, bike mat, bike weights, Urbanears sumpan earbuds, and a heart rate monitor.

If you like the sound of the bike, but you’re not sure if you’re ready to commit yet, the Peloton 30 Day Home Trial is an amazing opportunity to try it out worry-free. Peloton will deliver the bike to your home, so you can try it out for 30 days. If you’re still not sure after 30 days, the team will pick up the bike at no cost to you.

You can check out onepeloton.ca for full eligibility details.
