Saturday July 20th is the Global Day for Inclusion. It’s a day to raise awareness and money for the people who take part in the Special Olympics, and to include people living with a disability in our conversations about sports and achievement.
In the video clip above, we sat down with Matthew Heldsinger, an accomplished Special Olympian, and his mother to talk about his involvement in the Special Olympics and the difference it’s made in his life.
Tim Hortons has partnered up with the Special Olympics to celebrate this important day. On Saturday, you can buy a Special Olympics donut from your local Tim Hortons and all proceeds will support Special Olympics Canada. You can also post a photo to social media to support the initiative. Make sure you use #ChooseToInclude and tag Tim Hortons and Special Olympics Canada. You could also win a Tim Hortons gift card!
