From the moment Daisy Jones and the Six hit the shelves, people have been obsessing over it. The book is all about a 70’s rock group called—you guessed it—Daisy Jones and the Six. We read about the highs and lows that come with living in the spotlight and at the heart of it all is the intense relationship between the two lead singers, Daisy and Billy. The two butt heads, fight for control but there’s a lust for one another when they share the microphone. It’s a story that’s loosely based on Fleetwood Mac and is written as an oral history, so it’s like reading a tell-all interview.
Oh, and here’s a fun fact: one of the characters is based off The Social‘s very own Lainey Lui! That’s not all—Daisy Jones and the Six will also be adapted into a TV series, thanks to Reese Witherspoon.
In our latest book club gathering, our hosts each rated the book out of five and, without giving anything away, it’s definitely worth the read. Watch the video above to hear what they had to say.
