When it comes to Halloween, there are two types of people—the people who have been preparing their costume for weeks, and those that totally forgot until the morning of October 31st. If you fall into Camp #2, fear not! Craft and sewing expert Denise Wild has you covered with some last-minute, punny costume ideas.

Bread Winner

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • T-Shirt
  • Sweatband x 2
  • Medals
  • Loaf of bread

WHAT YOU DO:

  1. Cut one sweatband in half and sew the two halves in order to make two wrist bands.
  2. Wear the T-shirt, head sweat band, wrist sweat bands, and medals, and hold the loaf of bread.

Pumpkin Pie

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Orange T-shirt
  • Orange knit hat
  • Black felt
  • Wired twine
  • Brown pipe cleaners
  • Cardboard
  • Fabric scissors
  • Faux leaves
  • Hot glue gun

WHAT YOU DO:

  1. Cut the shape of pi from the black felt and glue it on the shirt.
  2. Cut the cardboard into a 2" circle.
  3. Glue pipe cleaners onto cardboard circle so they are stable at the base (cardboard) and stand up in the centre (stem).
  4. Cut a hole in the top of the hat, and poke the pipe cleaners out the top from the inside (the cardboard circle will stay on the inside of the hat as a stabilizer as the pipe cleaners poke out the top).
  5. Wrap the wired twine around the pipe cleaners to give the stem more stability. Glue faux leaves onto the hat.

50 Shades of Grey

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • T-Shirt
