Surprise! Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden welcome a baby girl

Cameron Diaz just announced her newest role and it’s a big one: motherhood! The 47-year-old actress recently welcomed daughter Raddix with rocker husband Benji Madden, 40. Raddix is the first child for the longtime couple, who were first linked in 2014 and wed the following year.The birth was announced in a lengthy Instagram post made to both Diaz and Madden’s profiles Friday afternoon. “We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden. She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family,” the new parents shared. The post added that Diaz and Madden are “overjoyed” but plan on protecting their child’s privacy. “We won’t be posting pictures or sharing any more details, other than the fact that she is really really cute! Some would even say RAD.” Mom and Dad jokes already? We are loving these two as parents.

Sincerely, Cameron&Benj.” The cheerful sentiment was sweetly punctuated with a red heart emoji.While their baby news is incredibly happy, it may come as a shock to fans of the private couple, who had not shared that they were expecting a child. It’s unclear whether the couple adopted, Diaz herself had the baby or if their little girl was delivered via surrogate, but one thing’s for sure: Raddix has some pretty cool relatives. In addition to superstar mom Diaz and pop-punk musician dad Benji, Raddix has Uncle Joel Madden and Aunt Nicole Richie in her extended family. One can only hope that Diaz’s close pals Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu will be part of her inner circle.
