Here’s the thing. Tatiana Maslany fans have been waiting for three years to see the Canadian actress get any type of Emmy nomination love for her roles as the clones on hit series Orphan Black. So you have to forgive us for being a little nervous heading into Sunday night’s Emmy Awards, where she was finally (finally, finally) recognized with a nomination.
I can’t stop being stressed out about Tatiana Maslany #emmys

Whoever wins Best Actress in a Drama, Tatiana Maslany should dress up as them and accept it.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t mean to be. And while we’re totally upset that our Tat didn’t take home the shiny trophy, we’d be remiss if we didn’t also mention that category winner Viola Davis was equally deserving for her turn in How to Get Away With Murder. Especially after giving that speech.
TBH i was pulling for Tatiana Maslany. But DAMN I ain’t mad. Viola Davis speaking truth to power. #Emmys2015

tatiana maslany still deserves every award, but viola davis winning is so very important — .ny (@skyblakes) September 21, 2015
Still, that didn’t stop the Internet from sharing its dismay over Maslany’s loss.

Really? Over Tatiana Maslany who plays almost every character on the show? Let’s see Viola Davis do that. https://t.co/9VQJPKOiVv

And if you don't know who Tatiana Maslany is and why she deserved that Emmy, please go watch Orphan Black.

Well, we can’t blame them, but let’s keep one thing in mind: Orphan Black will be back, #CloneClub.
Orphan Black returns in early 2016 to Space.
