A work/life balance: it’s what most people aim for. That and working a job they love, or a field in which they’re passionate. Now throw in a lot of money and low stress and, well, you’ve got it made in the shade. But is that just a dream, like Coke being super-healthy for you, or the ability to beam yourself to and from work, without traffic or public transit? Turns out it is possible.

Career expert Dr. Laurence Shatkin told The Huffington Post Canada that certain jobs make the perfect combo of a better-than-decent paycheque and low stress. And since slightly more than one in four Canadians deal with “high levels of work stress,” it’s reassuring to know that dreams can come true.

“Stress tolerance” is set on a scale from zero to 100, and measures how often workers effectively cope with high stress on the job. There are 14 jobs that earned a stress tolerance rating of 70 or lower and make a pretty penny. With any luck, you made the list.
