The 2015 Much Music Video Awards are officially wrapped, and it’s a good thing we saved our screams. Much’s biggest night of the year was a celebrity stacked affair, full of great live music, surprise appearances, kittens and one memorable sweat suit.

Brit pop star Ed Sheeran, armed with an arsenal of dirty jokes and a collection of adorable kittens to share with celeb presenters, was a hit on the evening, doubling as both a fan-pleasing host and a multiple time performer.

A #MMVA moment with @petewentz @therealsarahhyland and @teddysphotos that’s just too precious.

In addition to Sheeran’s memorable crowd crooning, the audience was treated to explosive performances by the likes of Nick Jonas, Walk Off The Earth, Fall Out Boy and Carly Rae Jepsen.

The night’s biggest award winners were Sheeran, who took home the hardware for ‘Best International Artist’ and ‘Most Buzzworthy International Artist,’ and Toronto’s R&B wizard The Weeknd, who won ‘Most Buzzworthy Canadian,’ ‘Pop Video of the Year’ and ‘Video of the Year.’ Following his wins, The Weeknd hypnotized the audience with an epic medley performance.

Shawn Mendes, who also performed last night, won the extra special award for ‘Fan Fave Video’ for his tune “Something Big.”

Although the evening featured celebrity appearances by the likes of Gigi Hadid, Sarah Hyland, Adam Lambert, Hailee Steinfeld, Bella Thorne, Tyler Posey and Cody Simpson, the biggest surprise of the night came when Canada’s most popular artist Drake appeared out of nowhere wearing an overly casual grey sweatsuit to present his friend P. Reign with the MMVA for ‘Best Hip Hop Video.’ The audience went crazy.
