Back in October, movie fans got the best news ever, when Sandra Bullock had signed on to lead an all-female reboot of Ocean’s Eleven. Sandy in the Danny Ocean role is kind of perfect, non? Considering how well she and George Clooney get on, you know Clooney probably razzed her but then insisted that if there was any gal out there to do the role justice, it’s Sandy.

Fast-forward 10 months and Warner Bros. is now locking down the other seven ladies who will be joining Bullock. And can we just say, DAYUM.

The lovely ladies who are in this to win this? Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, Awkwafina (the stage name of rapper-comedian Nora Lum) and superstar singer-sometimes actress Rihanna. Yep, you read that right: RIHANNA.

But if you were keeping track, that’s only seven. Who’s the eighth? We can think of several viable contenders. Gugu Mbatha-Raw, for one. Or how about Amy Schumer or Anna Camp? No, wait. Helen Mirren. How badass would she be?

The eighth spot will likely go to Elizabeth Banks, whose casting has long been rumoured. Plus, she’s already worked with Ross twice before so she might have a leg up. Plus-plus, she’s kind of awesome and she would round out this epic cast nicely.

We are loving this gender-reversal trend that’s taking over Hollywood, what with Ghostbusters and Splash. Not to mention the whole “anything they can do, we can do better” mantra. The Ocean’s franchise may have looked good before, but you know these ladies are going to step it up.
