Ramsay Bolton, Cersei, Tywin and Jaime Lannister are pretty terrible people. Full stop. But once the cameras have clicked off, the actors bringing these characters to life seem like pretty great people.

Game of Thrones cast members Lena Headey, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Liam Cunningham, DeObia Oparei, John Bradley, Tom Wlaschiha, Eugene Simon and Oona Chaplin have partnered with The International Rescue Committee and HBO to promote Rescue Has No Boundaries, which helps to bring awareness to Syrian refugees around the world.

“Across the globe, record millions of people are being forced by violent conflict to flee their homes. These refugee families—children, women and men—are struggling to survive and recover.”

You can visit The International Rescue Committee’s website for details on how you can help.

With more than 60 million refugees displaced around the world, there’s still a lot that needs to be done.

This is the story that matters indeed.

Game of Thrones returns Sunday, April 24 at 9 p.m. to HBO Canada.
