Last night was the biggest night in television, the 71st Emmy Awards gave out the hardware for the best shows on the small screen. And with that glitz and glamour, the stars were serving some red-hot looks—and some huge fashion risks to stand out from the crowd.
Take a look at some of the looks our hosts loved from last night’s award show.
The best looks (and biggest risks) at the 2019 Emmy Awards
MICHELLE WILLIAMS"I couldn't take my eyes off Michelle Williams," Cynthia says. "It's all in the details. That's entirely sequins. That beautiful deep teal green, the flowers."
GRETA LEE"She has this colour that says, 'LOOK AT ME.' I was like, 'Who is this girl?'" says Melissa. "She did exactly what that outfit was born to do, which was to get our attention."
ZENDAYA"The moment this woman arrived on the red carpet, I fell over and needed to be resuscitated," Lainey says.
ANGELA BASSETT"She is feeling herself, she knows she looks good and she does," Marci says. "She is goals, always."
GWENDOLINE CHRISTIE"She arrived and it was almost like Jesus walking on water," Melissa says. "She was feeling herself so much."
GWNYETH PALTROW"When you choose a dress, you don’t choose for just still photos, you choose it for the job you have that night," Lainey says. "Do better than picking a dress you can’t walk in."
KERRY WASHINGTON"In a sea of dresses, albeit gorgeous dresses, here comes Kerry in sparkly pants and a white pop collar shirt," Marci says. "She looks fabulous."
MANDY MOORE"Some people on Twitter seemed to think it looked matronly," Cynthia says. "If that's matronly, sign me up for matronly. I think it's quite sexy."
