The teaser trailer for the live-action Beauty and the Beast that was released earlier this year was a sight to behold. It showed off the stunning set that is the Beast’s castle, we got a glimpse of Emma Watson as Belle, that beautiful rose trapped in that glass case, all set to the iconic song that was more haunting than romantic. So would the movie’s first official trailer top it? Certain as the sun, rising in the East. In other words, helllllls, yeah.

Goosebumps, right?? Much like The Jungle Book earlier this year, it’s exactly how you’d imagine an animated film coming to life. Because Beauty and the Beast, the 1991 version, wasn’t just any cartoon flick. It was a Best Picture (Not Best Animated Feature, Best PICTURE) in its time, so it had to be just right. And it so is.

Watson is radiant, Dan Stevens‘ Beast is beastly but you can see why she wouldn’t be totally scared, Kevin Kline is wonderful as Maurice, Luke Evan‘s Gaston is as appropriately douchey as ever and all the other characters are magical. GOOSEBUMPS. March 17 can’t get here soon enough.
