After a shocking finale on Thursday’s Love Island (Monday to Friday at 8 p.m. ET on CTV) that ended with a cliffhanger over which couple would be sent home, we got our answer. Your boy Yamen and his lady Aissata received the fewest votes, meaning their 30 minutes of packing time had arrive. Weston and Elizabeth’s tears were no match for Yamen. He cried. They cried. We may have cried a little bit. We’ve watch Yamen every night for four weeks. That’s more than we see most of our relatives! The silver lining of the pair being voted off is that they’re leaving together and will finally get some time alone sans cameras.
WESTON AND ELIZABETH
The villa was divided after Thursday’s confrontation between Weston and the girls, so we were glad to see Elizabeth take a breath and explain where the girls were coming from. We also appreciated Weston’s willingness to accept responsibility for his actions. That doesn’t really help any of the girls he hurt (hugs to Kelsey), but it’s a start.
WESTON AND KYRA
Weston and Kyra addressed their unspoken/slightly spoken attraction to one another and agreed that they still love each other and want to be besties. At least, until things go south with Emily. Then Weston and Kyra will probably get together for real.
KYRA AND CASHEL
Or will Kyra and Cashel get together? Yes, Cashel is back, if only in name. Kyra told the girls that she loves Cashel and can’t wait to call him when she leaves the villa, which Alexandra ‘totally knew’ (she totally knows everything, right?). Maybe Kyra’s feelings for Cashel are genuine and she needed some distance to figure out how she felt, but when Cashel was right in front of her, she moved on with Canadian Eric. It feels like Kyra may only be remembering the good times and/or is making future plans since things aren’t working out with Weston/Emily/Poor Jered.
WESTON AND EMILY
These two patched things up quickly. A day in the villa is like three weeks/one year in the real world, right Emily?
Each couple received a plastic baby to care for and we quickly learned who was a nurturer and who still needs their own nap time. Dylan was a natural and got the baby carrier on before we could say Baby Bjorn. Elizabeth named their crying baby Susan after her mom. Harsh. Weston got into dad mode by tucking in his shirt and Emily got into mom mode by yelling directions at Weston (I’m a mom, so I can make that joke).
After a morning of bucking gender norms and not doing much of anything to help with the babies, the girls spent the afternoon at a bar. The boys continued to be the primary caregivers and Dylan suggested a Dadcathalon, of course, which resulted in Zac dropping the baby on its head, of course.
THAT AWKWARD MOMENT
Every single moment of the ‘Pass The Fruit’ game.
WHO WE’RE SHIPPING
Caro has found her baby daddy with Ray, a good choice since the pair won the parenting challenge.
We all knew there was no way Weston was leaving the villa on his own accord, right?
