Good morning angels! The newest lineup of Charlie’s Angels has arrived and looks just as exciting, empowering, sexy, and hilarious as its predecessors. This time around the role of Bosley is being played by Elizabeth Banks, who is pulling double duty as the film’s director. As for the three angels, Kristen Stewart is set to star as the fierce fighter Sabina, Ella Balinska is the deadly Jane, and Naomi Scott is the brilliant Elena. Together, they are four women we would not recommend messing with.

The new trailer opens with Stewart’s Sabina playing the role of an unsuspecting date, where she tells her target “I think women can do anything.” In this case, that anything includes almost decapitating Crazy Rich Asians star Chris Pang with the drapes in his hotel room.

The film is centred around a new computer program that can either help change the world for the better or be weaponized for destruction. Scott, who most recently starred as Princess Jasmine is Aladdin, is an elite programmer and the newest member of the Townsend Agency, completing the threesome with her computer skills. Balinska’s Jane is a former MI6 officer and Stewart’s Sabina oversees the “ground game,” according to Bank’s Bosley. That means she can flip, fly, throw, and pull off a lot of wigs. There are so many wigs in this film.

In addition to the incredible lineup of women, the revamped Charlie’s Angels also stars Sir Patrick Stewart and Djimon Hounsou, with both men playing the role of Bosley. As Banks explained earlier this year to EW, “‘Bosley’ is now a rank in the organization, like lieutenants,” she said. “All of the Angels have been played by different women and have had different names, but the Bosley character was always named Bosley no matter who played him. We thought, ‘Well, that must mean it’s more than a name.’”

Young fans will also be excited to see To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and The Perfect Date’s Noah Centineo, who plays the ‘hot nerd’ and Balinska’s love interest.

In addition to Thursday’s new trailer, viewers are also getting a sneak peek at the A-list soundtrack for the upcoming Charlie’s Angels, the third feature film in the franchise following 2000’s Charlie’s Angels and 2003’s Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, both starring Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore. The first film included the monster hit “Independent Women” from Destiny’s Child, which held the number one spot on the Billboard chart for eleven weeks.

The new trailer opens with Janelle Monae’s “Make Me Feel,” before transitioning into a new collaboration from Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey. Not only is Grande featured on the soundtrack, she’s also the Co-Executive Producer, working with Savan Kotecha and Ilya Salmanzadeh on what she calls “…the coolest f**king thing in the world.” It’s Charlie’s Angels, so yeah, it doesn’t get much cooler.

The latest installment in the Charlie’s Angels franchise hits theatres in November. If you’re feeling a bit nostalgic, all five seasons of the original Charlie’s Angels series are available now on CTV.
