The first teaser trailer for Frozen 2 arrived on Wednesday morning just in time to match the deep freeze that is setting in throughout the county. The cold actually does bother us, anyway. Back to make frigid temperatures look inspiring and badass are Queen Elsa, her sister Anna, and their friend Kristoff, who are teaming up in the Disney goliath for a second time to make so, so, soooo much money.
The first Frozen film premiered in 2013 and went on to win two Academy Awards, including Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for “Let It Go,” a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, two Grammys and two Critic’s Choice Awards. It also earned $1.276 billion worldwide. That’s billion with a ‘b.’
In the upcoming sequel, the sisters are setting off to explore the world beyond Arendelle and find out the true origins of their home. Kristen Bell will reprise her role as Anna, Idina Menzel is back as Elsa, Jonathan Groff will once again play Kristoff and Josh Gad will bring the lols as Olaf. New to the sequel is This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown and Westworld actor Evan Rachel Wood, although their characters have yet to be revealed. We assume Brown will play a wise…something. His voice is very wise.
Frozen songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez are also back to pen new songs for Frozen 2, so prepare yourself for the arrival of the biggest earworm of the year with “Let It Go 2.0.”
The sequel is scheduled to arrive in theatres exactly six years after the premiere of Frozen, with Frozen 2 set to debut on November 22, 2019. Remember that date now, because you can use it as a bargaining chip with your children for the next ten months.
No surprise, people both young and old are officially shook over the new trailer.

With the focus on the maple leaf at the title I can only assume the Frozen 2 trailer is fortelling the invasion of the Canadians out to reclaim our rightful ice powers.— Ama (@nekoama) February 13, 2019

So the biggest question for Frozen 2: will Disney have the guts to give Elsa a girlfriend? 👀 pic.twitter.com/jYNgNcfwfd— ☆オードリーAudrey☆ (@aitaikimochii) February 13, 2019
Like lowkey, the Frozen II trailer might be one of the best first teaser trailers Disney has done in a while. No dialogue, no big reveals or spoilers, just a pure visual spectacle with breathtaking animation, while hinting at a lot of action and a darker, more serious tone. 👍❄️ pic.twitter.com/znvfZZY0us— One In Lemillion (@0neInLemilli0n) February 13, 2019
