Happy birthday to The Goonies! Yes, one of the most beloved action adventure movies from our kid years is officially three decades old this month. The Steven Spielberg produced flick about our favourite pack of young “Goon Docks” dwelling, treasure hunting, Fratelli fighting friends was released back on June 7th 1985. And 30 years later, the movie is still as excitingly awesome as it was when we saw it for the very first time.
Let’s be honest, we all wanted to be in The Goonies crew, exploring water-slide caves, battling an evil family of criminals, befriending Sloth and getting our hands one One-Eyed Willie’s gold. The movie’s cast of pre-teen pals and evil bad guys was perfectly crafted and gave the film its timeless charm. But what do they all look like 30 years later? Don’t worry, we have the answer.
Here’s what the cast of ‘The Goonies’ looks like, 30 years later
Mikey (Sean Astin)Mikey Walsh, the brace-faced leader of the Goonies was played by a very young Sean Astin. As a grownup, we know Astin best for his role as Frodo's hobbit sidekick Sam Gamgee in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. He currently voices Raphael in Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon.Warner Bros./Getty Images
Mouth (Corey Feldman)Mouth, the smart-ass Goonie, was played by an innocent looking Corey Feldman. Feldman went on to have a teen heartthrob career in movies like The Lost Boys and Stand By Me before getting really weird. As an adult he's done a variety of crappy films and reality TV. He now sings in a ska band called Truth Movement.Warner Bros./Getty Images
Stef (Martha Plimpton)The bespectacled Goonies pal and and Mouth's secret crush Stef Steinbrenner was played by a young Martha Plimpton. Plimpton has gone on to a huge career on Broadway, as well as TV, and has won Emmys for her roles on Raising Hope and The Good Wife. Her new TV comedy called The Real O'Neals debuts this fall.Warner Bros./Getty Images

She now writes, directs and co-founded a production company called Independent Women Artists.Warner Bros./Getty Images
Troy (Steve Antin)Troy Perkins was most definitely the biggest jerk in The Goonies. The rich kid jock played by Steve Antin was the memorable on-screen bully. Total pain in the butt! Since his childhood acting, Antin has gone on to become a stunt man, screenwriter, producer, and director.Warner Bros./Getty Images
Jake Fratelli (Robert Davi)The scarier, opera singing Fratelli brother Jake was played by real life scary, opera singing actor Robert Davi. Since The Goonies, Davi has continued his career in acting, singing, writing and directing. He most recently appeared in The Expendables 3. Warner Bros./Getty Images
Chunk (Jeff Cohen)The most loveable Goonie was the gang's snack-loving, pathologically lying, prank pulling joker Chunk, played by child actor Jeff Cohen. As an adult, the Goonies' sergeant left acting behind and is now an attorney and partner at a firm he co-founded called Cohen & Gardner. Yea, we never saw that coming either!Warner Bros./Getty Images
Brand (Josh Brolin)The Goonies' muscle, Mikey's older brother Brandon "Brand" Walsh, was played by Josh Brolin. It was Brolin's first film role. Since The Goonies, Brolin has become a consistent mega movie star appearing in films like W, Milk, Gangster Squad, Labor Day and most recently Avengers: Age of Ultron as the evil Thanos.
