With Canada’s marijuana laws looking a little hazy at the moment, the government is inviting Canadians to weigh in on how they believe legalization should be rolled out.

Health Canada officials have put together a survey that allows you to provide input on all elements of the process, from what you believe the minimum age for purchase should be, to where you think it should be sold. Fortunately, the questions are not multiple choice, so you can really describe what your vision is for the drug’s future. Here are some of the things you will be asked about:

  • Should marijuana be taxed?
  • Should there be restrictions on marketing and marijuana advertisements?
  • Should there be limits on how much people can possess?

Once you really start to think about all the details involved, it makes you realize why the federal government might be dragging its feet on legalization legislation–it’s a lot more complicated than it seems.

Happy policy making, Canadian government!
