When it comes to the Royal Family, there’s no denying that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle dominate the headlines. In 2018, they caught the media’s attention for all of the royal baby news, Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry and even the rumoured feud between the duchesses. But, there’s actually one member of the Royal Family who is considered the “hardest-working” of them all and it isn’t Kate or Meghan — or even their husbands.

Princess Anne, Queen Elizabeth II’s daughter, had the highest number of public engagements in 2018 next to the rest of her family. This information was gathered by Tim O’Donovan who calculated the number of royal engagements that the Royal Family performed in 2018 and published these figures in The Times. The tally showed that Princess Anne fulfilled a whopping 447 appearances in the UK and another 71 engagements abroad.

At 68-years-old, Princess Anne put in more time than Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry combined, as People reports. William attended 150 domestic engagements and 70 abroad, while his brother had 108 and 85, respectively.

At the bottom of the list was Kate Middleton who attended 87 engagements total. For three years in a row Kate has had the least number of appearances causing people to criticize her for being the laziest Royal. She’s also the only Royal who is currently raising three young children, so I think people can probably let this one slide.
