Queen Elizabeth II is pretty much the coolest monarch out there and she’s showing no signs of slowing down. She’s been queen for over 60 years, she has the most adorable great-grandchildren on the planet (we’re looking at you George and Charlotte) and the 90-year-old woman is still working it in dramatic colours like this:
While she may have looked fab at the Trooping of the Colours on the weekend, that particular colour of green might not have been the best choice. You see, that is the exact colour of a green screen and, naturally, the internet took notice. Did you really think the people of Twitter were going to turn down an opportunity to make a public figure into a meme? The answer is no.
It started off simple enough but then got real crazy real fast!
Here we have watercolour-rainbow Queen:

Starry galaxy Queen:

Pizza-dress Queen was a favourite:

Then the real fun started when the meme artists graduated to gifs.
Here is Her Majesty wearing the Millennium Falcon destroying the Death Star:

And here she is wearing a few different cartoons:

And then this one won everything with the Queen wearing Queen:

Honestly, Her Highness probably should’ve seen this coming. You can’t slip anything past the internet. Jokes aside though, that woman is 90 and amazing, so who really cares what she’s wearing? You just keep doing you, Queen E. We love you.
