When Kate Middleton made her debut with Prince Louis Arthur Charles on April 23, there was a lot to take in. Her flawless hair and make-up only hours after giving birth. Her ability to put on heels and not sneakers or flip flops after evacuating a human from her body. The adorable Prince Louis. The equally adorable Princess Charlotte. The happy couple who got the royal treatment thanks to delivering at the same hospital as Kate. But one thing we kinda skipped over was Kate’s dress.

Upon further inspection, it appeared that Kate was paying homage with her Jenny Packham shift dress to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana, who wore a similar red dress following the birth of Prince Harry. We’re pretty sure that’s exactly what Kate had intended, since the Duchess of Cambridge and her husband Prince William have always made a point of honouring Diana.

But as some astute movie fans noticed, the dress seemed familiar for another reason.

And here’s a side by side. Oh yeah, that’s basically the same dress.

There are what, a zillion people working for the Royal Family and no one noticed this? Poor Kate has suffered through a brutal pregnancy while caring for two small children and having to make public appearances, including one only hours after giving birth. Someone help this woman out!

Of course, we don’t think Kate was making any jabs at the Royal Family. Not even close. But we also think some of these Twitter reactions are pretty funny.

We’re not sure whether Mia Farrow, who played the title character in Rosemary’s Baby, noticed the similarities, but like the rest of us she was definitely impressed with Kate looking so put together right after giving birth.
