It was a weekend of top-notch tennis with royals and celebrities alike enjoying the finals at Wimbledon. The Duchess of Cambridge was on hand, as she is the patron of the All-England Tennis Club, and took in both the Women’s and Men’s Finals, the former with her sister Pippa Middleton and sister-in-law Meghan Markle; the latter with her husband, Prince William.

Prior to taking her seat in the Royal Match for the epic match, Kate, dressed in a baby blue Emilia Wickstead frock that perfectly matched Will’s shirt, the Cambridges were gifted with some sweet Stan Smith shoes for their youngest son, Prince Louis. His siblings, Prince George, in particular, won’t be jealous, however, as the five-year-old got his very own private lessons recently from none other than Roger Federer, his favourite player.

In the final singles match of the tournament, Federer and eventual champion Novak Djokovic, didn’t disappoint, giving the world a thrill ride of a match that went the distance: five sets, five hours. In fact, that incredible, decision-making fifth set lasted more than two hours, which was nearly double the time it took Simona Halep to beat Serena Williams in Saturday’s Women’s Finals. In what would become the longest singles match in Wimbledon history, Kate was spotted reacting to many points and moments throughout the match, and anyone who didn’t know she was a true fan of the sport, knew on Sunday. It probably didn’t help Kate’s emotional roller-coaster ride that she and Will are friendly with Federer and his wife, as her face betrayed everything she was feeling, from shock and excitement, to stress and pain.

And while Kate wore her emotions on her adorable short sleeves, Woody Harrelson somehow bested the Duchess of Cambridge’s reactions as he took in the Men’s Doubles Final the day before. In another brutal final that featured Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah winning over Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin, Harrelson couldn’t hide his feelings during the memorable match.

Like when Mahut got nailed by a ball. For a second time.

Or when Woody kept busy on his phone while they closed the roof.

Even just showing up from taking a break, he got some love.

If only Woody and Kate had attended the same match, and sat side by side. Because we need them together. Next year, Wimbledon.
