Just when you thought you couldn’t like Kris Jenner any less comes a move so fierce it can’t help but demand respect. And yeah, you may just like her less.
The reality matriarch/momager just signed a record-breaking, $100 million-plus deal with E! that locks the Kardashians/Wests/Jenners/Disicks in for another four more years.
The only person missing from past Keeping Up With the Kardashians will be Bruce Jenner, who is leaving after the upcoming 10th season. Bruce is set to have his own show, reportedly centring on his transition. Kanye West is also not part of the deal, but Page Six claims he will continue to make appearances.
While neither E! nor Jenner have confirmed the deal, Page Six reports it’s “the highest in TV history for a reality brand.” Not only will there be ore KUWTK but more spinoffs like Kourtney and Khloé Take the Hamptons.
An insider told Us Weekly, “This has been in the works for almost a year. Kris is a fierce negotiator. They were not planning on leaving E!, but she was playing major hardball and threatening to leave. E! needs them.”
Begrudgingly, let’s give credit where credit is due. Jenner had the E! higher-ups by the cojones; she knew it, they knew it. The family is the
t*ts and a** heart and soul of the network. And with further opportunities beyond their shows (Khloe has hosted red carpet coverage as well as post-Oscar and Grammy specials; Kim is expected to produce her own future shows) another deal will likely be inked after the four years is up. So, we hope you’re not sick of them because there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight for the relationship between E! and the Ks.
