Whoa, whoa, whoa, stop what you’re doing and prepare to have your heart filled with young love. The second trailer for the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before sequel is here, and we are officially in love. The latest sneak peek of To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You is packing all the drama, swooning, heartbreak, and new-love moments that made the first film an instant classic in the teen romance genre. The new trailer opens with our beloved heroine Lara Jean (Lana Condor) and her little sister Kitty (Anna Cathcart) explaining to an older, cooler friend the plot of the first film. For those who have yet to see/consume the first instalment in the trilogy, middle child Lara Jean had a habit of writing private letters to her crushes. When her little sister Kitty secretly mailed the letters, Lara Jean and her former crush Peter were brought together and made a pact to make his ex-girlfriend and Lara Jean’s new crush jealous. Of course, this is a teen romance film, so naturally Peter and Lara Jean fell for each other. It’s pretty cool.In the new trailer for the sequel, viewers see that Lara Jean’s unanswered letter from the first film now has a face to go with the name. Just as things between Lara Jean and Peter are heating up, John Ambrose McClaren (Jordan Fisher) returns five years after he and Lara Jean met in middle school and, no surprise, he’s still super cute and very into Lara Jean. "I thought having a boyfriend meant that the idea of other boys left your mind completely,” says Lara Jean in the trailer. “I didn't want to be thinking of what might have been, but I was."The final scene in the new trailer hints at a third instalment in the series, with Lara Jean realizing "I thought I wanted happily ever after, but we're still at the beginning."
The sequel features the return of John Corbett as Lara Jean’s doting widowed father. Big sister Margot (Janel Parrish) is also back for the sequel, although she doesn’t appear in the trailer. New to the All the Boys I’ve Loved series is Fisher, as well as Holland Taylor and 13 Reason’s Why star Ross Butler. The film series is based on the popular book trilogy by Jenny Han. The first YA novel was released in 2014, followed by P.S. I Still Love You and Always and Forever, Lara Jean.Within minutes of releasing the new trailer, fans online were clearing their schedules for a swoon and sobfest. To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You drops on Netflix on February 12, two days before Valentine’s Day. We don’t think that was a coincidence.[video_embed id='-1']Hey, one last thing: Puppy totally loses it after being allowed to play on bed[/video_embed]
