Before she was the Duchess of Cambridge, she was Kate Middleton, girlfriend of the future king of England. Ever since Kate and Will got married, there’s been some speculation as to whether the Middletons — specifically, Kate’s parents, Michael and Carole — would be given a title.
The Daily Mail likens it to when Princess Margaret‘s untitled husband, Antony Armstrong-Jones, was ennobled as Earl of Snowdon to give their children titles.
So, it’s now being reported that Michael, Carole and Kate’s siblings, James and Pippa, will be getting titles…when Prince Charles becomes king. (Because you know it’s not happening with Her Majesty running things.)
Once Charles is on the throne, it’ll be earl for Michael, countess for Carole, viscount for James and lady for Pippa. That’s right: Lady Pippa. YES.
