Is Lena Dunham having a change of heart?

The Girls creator recently purchased a 1920s-era home in Los Angeles for approximately $2.7 million, despite previous claims that the city of lights is just not for her. She told Vogue last January, “You eat well there, and you take hikes and my dog loves it, but ultimately it’s not the right place for me.”

Except it would seem that it became the place for her, after she laid eyes on the former home of Breakfast at Tiffany’s star George Peppard.

But just because she has the pad (a modest pad, by L.A. standards), how will she deal with the Hollywood scene? In that same cover interview, Dunham told Vogue, “I remember thinking, I don’t feel at home here, and no matter how long this is my job, I will never feel at home here. And if I do start to feel at home here” — her brow furrows — “someone should really worry about me.”

Worried about the ingenue? Don’t be. Look at her new house:
