The MTV Movie Awards may not be as glitzy or glamour-filled as the Oscars, but that’s kind of what makes them more fun, is it not? Between a way trendier list of nominees (we didn’t see Star Wars or Jurassic World nominated for best picture, now did we?) and cool categories like Best Fight, the annual show is like the everyday man’s awards.

No wonder it gets us so jazzed.

This year, the nominees are pretty diverse, too. They come a little later than the Oscars, which means that the likes of Deadpool and Creed have been added to the Movie of the Year category. Bonus points to Will Smith, who finally gets some recognition for his role in Concussion.

Meanwhile, we’re tickled to see the likes of Amy Schumer make it in there for Breakthrough Performance (she’s only been rocking Inside Amy Schumer for three seasons now, people) and all the lady love in the Best Hero category.

Our absolute favourite though? Seeing the fight between Leonardo DiCaprio and the Bear being nominated for Best Fight in The Revenant. No offence to the other nominees, but clearly this duo is winning that category claws down.

Read on for the full list of nominees.
