The trailer for Caitlyn Jenner‘s upcoming reality show I Am Cait is out, and if you can make it all the way through without getting at least a little misty-eyed, you’re dead inside.
The eight-part documentary series will show how Jenner adjusts to her new life as a publicly transgender woman and will also delve into how her friends and family react to the change. The trailer features a moment with Jenner’s mother, Esther, explaining how she felt when her child came out as transgender.
“My first feeling was, ‘I lost my son,'” Ester says in the clip. “But then I thought, ‘You know what? I’m gaining.'”
(Sniffle! Who’s cutting all these onions?)
The trailer also shows Jenner talking to transgender teenagers about the lessons she’s learned.
“Hang out with people that love you and respect you,” she says.
(I’m not crying! You’re crying!)
“I feel such a responsibility to this courageous group to try to get it right and tell all sides of the story,” Jenner wrote about the transgender community on Monday. “To me, that’s always the biggest question: am I doing it right?”
She seems to be doing a pretty good job so far. Since Jenner publicly came out as transgender on the cover of Vanity Fair in June, she’s been killing it on social media, amassing one-million Twitter followers in under four hours (she currently boasts 2.63 million followers and counting). In the five weeks since joining the social media platform, she’s used her influence to promote freedom, respect, and family.

If I Am Cait is even a fraction as inspiring as that, we’re sure to be blubbering messes by the end of the first episode. Pass the tissues!
I Am Cait premieres July 26 on E! Canada.
