A STAR IS BORNJune 8
Okay, so in 2018 this little indie movie came out starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. It was a remake of this equally small film from 1976 starring Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. Who? I know, we had to look them up too. We hear that the music from A Star Is Born is pretty good, but sadly no one saw the film or talked about it or nominated it for anything.Warner Bros.
THE HATE U GIVEJune 21
Based on the bestselling YA novel by Angie Thomas, The Hate U Give stars Amandla Stenberg as Starr, a teen whose life is a delicate balance between her preppy private school and her predominantly black neighbourhood. The two worlds crash together when Starr witnesses her friend killed by a police officer. The gripping and poignant film is rounded out by a stacked cast that includes Regina Hall, Common, Anthony Mackie and KJ Apa.Twentieth Century Fox
THE HANDMAID’S TALE, Season 3June 9
Blessed be those who have been waiting for the return of the Emmy-winning The Handmaid’s Tale. When in doubt, always flee to Canada. Catch up on seasons 1 and 2 available now on Crave and watch the double-episode premiere on Sunday, June 9 at 9 p.m. ET.Crave
BIG LITTLE LIES, Season 2June 9
The first season of the critically acclaimed Big Little Lies won just about every award thanks to its all star cast of Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Zoe Kravitz, Nicole Kidman, and Shailene Woodley. So how does the murder-mystery series filled with A-list actors, California house porn, and a stacked soundtrack improve on its second season? One word: Meryl.Crave
Drake may have rapped that his acting days are over, but his producing days are just beginning. Jimmy Brooks is heading back to the small screen with friend Future The Prince for Euphoria, an adaptation of the hit Israeli show. The teen drama stars Zendaya, Maude Apatow, and Eric Dane and is essentially Degrassi if Degrassi was rated R. Don’t expect any music from The Zit Remedy.Crave
THE ROOKJune 30
If you love Orphan Black and X-Men but wish they were one series, you’re in luck. And you have specific taste. Myfanwy Thomas (Emma Greenwell) wakes up in London with no memory, surrounded by dead bodies. She soon learns that she’s an officer in the British secret service for people with paranormal abilities. The Rook also stars Olivia Munn and Joely Richardson, so it’s a society for beautiful people with powers.Crave
CITY ON A HILLJune 16
If Matt Damon and Ben Affleck produce a show about a crooked FBI agent and the Assistant District Attorney teaming up to undermine a city’s criminal justice system, do we really need to specify that it’s set in Boston? These effing guys. The new series stars Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge. How do you like them apples?Crave
THE LOUDEST VOICEJune 30
Following in the footsteps of Christian Bale as Dick Cheney, Christian Bale as Bob Dylan, really anything Christian Bale has done, is Russell Crowe who is unrecognizable as fallen Fox News founder Roger Ailes. At least, we think it’s Crowe. The seven-part miniseries also stars Naomi Watts, Sienna Miller, and Seth McFarlane. Or does it? It does, they actually look like themselves.Crave
KILLING EVEJune 7
If you’re like us and didn’t watch Season 1 of Killing Eve (available now on Crave) as much as consumed it, then prepare for a second season feast. Following its broadcast debut, Season 2 of Killing Eve is dropping in full on Crave on June 7, which means you should call your boss now and tell them it’s National Sandra Oh Appreciation Day and won’t be making it to work that day. Or the following day. Jodie Comer deserves her own holiday as well.Crave
YEARS AND YEARSJune 24
Imagine this - a radical politician with plans to turn a country into a police state is elected to power and completely divides the population. Well, at least we can understand people voting for Emma Thompson. The new limited series Years and Years follows one family as they attempt to navigate their brave new world while holding on to their principles, morals, and one another. It’s like a horoscope that we’re scared to read but can’t look away from.Crave
