*Warning, slight Star Wars spoilers lie ahead.*
Star Wars fans are brooding harder than Kylo Ren right now at board game giant Hasbro, thanks to a pretty significant oversight that the company made with their recently released The Force Awakens Monopoly game.
Fans who bought the latest Star Wars-themed edition were shocked and appalled to discover that one of The Force Awakens’ main protagonists, and the film’s leading lady, Rey, is not included in the game. (No really, she’s not!) And all of the game pieces happen to be male.
According to Hasbro, they left Rey out of the game because they wanted to “avoid revealing a key plot line that she takes on Kylo Ren and joins the Rebel Alliance.” Hmm. Is that a spoiler?
Baffled fans don’t seem to be buying Hasbro’s response and have taken to Twitter to air their grievances with a #WheresRey hashtag.
Some have expressed great confusion at the oversight:

Some are very angry:

Some are calling it sexist:

And some have pointed out that Hasbro just completely contradicted itself:
