In case you missed it, Canada legalized recreational marijuana on Tuesday and it was kind of a big deal. We became the second country in the world to fully legalize cannabis and the largest country to do so.

In honour of the day, people around the world shared their appreciation for the move. Seth Rogen tweeted that he’s proud to be Canadian, Freshii pulled an iHob and teased changing their name to Munchii and even the CN Tower was glowing green for the occasion. Elsewhere in Toronto though, there was some MVP running the Twitter account for the Royal Ontario Museum and leaving every other pot-pun-maker in the dust.

Throughout the entire day, the ROM Twitter shared pictures of actual pots and other pot-related artwork. Somebody give this person a raise.

Just because you’re celebrating legalization (within reason, please) doesn’t mean you can’t learn some history too. With the ROM Twitter account, history is fun!

Seriously, this is too good.

Mind = blown.

Then for a brief moment “The Man” caught up with our pot-tweeting hero and barred them from sharing more stories of actual pots. Don’t worry, the issue was resolved quickly and the ROM returned with a picture of a sculpted woman with a POT on her head.

The museum concluded its Legalization Day programming with this bizarre cat pot. Hmm, maybe that was a good place to end it.

Needless to say, Canadians loved the thread and contributed their own pot puns to the conversation. There was enough reaction that the feat was recgonized with its own Twitter moment.

Who knew what comedic brilliance weed prohibition was robbing us of?
