MasterChef Canada is about to kick off a new season (Monday April 8th at 8p ET on CTV) and fans should get ready for some epic battles in the kitchen as a new batch of home cooks strike for bragging rights. And, of course, the life-changing title.
Season 6 features the country’s top 18 home cooks. They include an international figure skater, a care salesman, and an entrepreneur from provinces including Quebec, Nova Scotia, Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta. Finalists compete to make it into the Top 12 for the chance to win a $100,000 cash prize and the title of the next Canadian MasterChef.
In a new twist this season, each judge selects six home cooks to invite to the Top 18, with each member receiving personal invitations delivered via courier.
Judges Michael Bonacini, Claudio Aprile and Alvin Leung dropped by Your Morning to tell us more about the exciting new season. Watch the full interview in the video clip above.
MasterChef Canada kicks off on CTV with a two-hour special at 8 p.m. ET on April 8th before settling into its regular timeslot at 9 p.m. ET
