Every WE Day celebration brings out a host of celebs who all believe the next generation has the power to change the world (and they totally do). This year, Hollywood turned out for WE Day California to celebrate 16,000 youth who are making differences in their local and global communities through the WE Charities.
The festivities were hosted by none other than host extraordinare, Neil Patrick Harris, with special appearances by Selena Gomez (who hosted the show in 2017), Natalie Portman, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Lilly Singh, Meghan Trainor, Naomi Campbell and Bill Nye the Science Guy.
Check out all the stars who showed up to celebrate these incredible kids.

Sarah Michelle GellarSarah was country casual chic on the carpet and wrote in an Instagram post later that being part of WE Day is “truly one of my greatest joys.” Emma McIntyre/Getty Images

Natalie PortmanAnna Wintour might have recently advised us against wearing all-black, but we can imagine she might make an exception for Natalie here. The WE ambassador talked to the crowd about feminist issues and her choice to become vegan.Emma McIntyre/Getty Images
Hailee SteinfeldHailee was rocking the WE merch on the carpet along with the rest of the WE Day attendees. After the festivities, she wrote on Instagram, “It was so inspiring being surrounded by so many young, driven, and passionate people today… We ALL can make a change!”Tommaso Boddi/Getty Images for WE Day
Mahershala AliMahershala was repping WE too, not just with his t-shirt, but also with his rafiki bracelet—a popular WE item handmade by women in Kenya with proceeds contributing to one of the charity’s five pillars of life—education, water, health, food or financial opportunity—in a developing community.Jesse Grant/Getty Images for WE Day
Nina DobrevNina had the WE swag too, opting for the rainbow “Get Doing” t-shirt. The actress is a regular at WE Day events, often attending the annual celebration in Toronto. Emma McIntyre/Getty Images
Skai JacksonWell, isn’t this little titan more professional looking than all of us combined? Skai is one of the Disney Channel stars who sees the difference she can make in the community, even at her young age, and goes for it. She appeared onstage alongside her former Jessie co-star Cameron Boyce. Tommaso Boddi/Getty Images for WE Day
Karamo BrownThe king of positivity, Karamo Brown, was in the building—in his signature bomber jacket look—to remind us all to love ourselves and to do whatever is in our power to help others. Emma McIntyre/Getty Images

Bill Nye and Brielle MillaAre we seeing double? Bill Nye (you know, the science guy?) brought out mini-me YouTube science sensation Brielle Milla to do some scientific demonstrations. Brielle may be adorable, but she also knows the entire Periodic Table at the age of seven. Watch out! Emma McIntyre/Getty Images
Joe JonasSurprise! Bet you didn’t expect to see a Jonas Brother! While we’re still (not-so-patiently) waiting for the JoBros to reunite onstage, Joe dropped by WE Day to talk positive change.
