The throwback, so hot right now. Whether we’re remaking movies or TV shows, or just looks that we loved from decades past, the present has never been so into the past. This year the celebrities were out in force, going way back and all out for this year’s Halloween costumes.

Kylie Jenner threw it back with a look that transformed her into a 2002 Christina Aguilera, straight off the set of Dirrty; Kelsey Grammer showed up at Kate Hudson‘s annual Halloween bash as his Simpsons alter ego, Sideshow Bob (yellow skin and all); and Queen Bey and her brood take it ’80s, with a legit representation of Salt-N-Pepa. And they weren’t the only celebs who took their Halloween inspiration from the past and totally nailed it.

Kelsey Grammer coloured his skin yellow in order to achieve the most accurate representation of The Simpsons’ character Sideshow Bob, which he has voiced for over 20 years.

Kelly Rowland IS Dionne Davenport from Clueless, right down to that amazing hat. Still. So. Cool.

Adorable Jacob Tremblay goes back to the future (er, past) and nails this Marty McFly look better than a young Michael J.

Three generations of Knowles women (Beyonce, her daughter and mother) Pushed It Real Good for their Salt-N-Pepa outfits. Jay-Z also dressed like the ’80s, but didn’t make the band.

Keke Palmer used the subtleties like the oh-so-90s cap to ace this tribute to the late star, Selena.

Leave it to funny gal Elizabeth Banks to take this Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman’s character in Pulp Fiction) right up to the line of acceptability, nose blood and all.

It may not be the most original, but, holy moly, did Alessandra Ambrosio look a lot like the actual Jessica Rabbit, or what?!

So much fun being #JessicaRabbit last night ✨👠💋💃✨🐰💥 styled by @inspiresmi #Halloween2016

Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s for sure would’ve loved Starbucks. Lily Aldridge agrees.
