The cast of Suits (Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo) came together for a panel discussion this week and, no surprise, the discussion quickly evolved into questions about the show’s former star and latest addition to the Royal Family, Meghan Markle. The cast was attending a press tour this week, in Pasadena, California, and fielded questions about the latest season of the legal drama, as well as the possibility of the famous former cast member returning for a cameo.

Suits creator Aaron Korsh took the lead on questions about Markle, including what it was like to attend the royal wedding. “The thing I’ll say about it is that we all went as a family.” “When we all went, there were about 10 of us or something … it was unbelievable. I think it changed our lives in certain ways forever.”

That makes sense. It’s going to be tough attending a backyard wedding with a buffet after hanging out with Oprah, Elton John, David Beckham and Queen Elizabeth.

Meghan’s co-stars, including Sarah Rafferty, Gabriel Macht, Gina Torres, and Patrick J. Adams, who played her love interest on the show, attended Markle’s May 2018 wedding to Prince Harry. Markle’s final episode of Suits aired only a few weeks before her nuptials and featured the on-screen wedding of her character Rachel Zane with Adams’ Mike Ross.

There have been rumours of Markle’s possible involvement in the show before it ends next year, but Korsh said that there are no plans for Meghan to return at this point. Obviously, they’re keeping the door open for a cameo, because…obviously. THE RATINGS!

“We’re not currently asking Meghan Markle to leave her position with the Royal Family and join us,” said Korsh during the panel on Tuesday. “I would love it, but I think it’s pretty close to zero.”

There were previous reports that NBC offered to make a large donation to the charity of Meghan’s choice in return for a small cameo on Suits, but it looks like that’s not happening. Or that’s what Korsh wants us to believe. Let’s not forget that Suits loves to pack in the drama.
