We have some breaking, earth-shattering and life-altering news: The tooth fairy is Australian and his name is Bruce, at least according to a U.S. father.

Father of three, Jacob Hall, came up with this elaborate and hilarious lie, ugh, story when he failed to put a bit of cash under his seven-year-old son Evan’s pillow in a timely manner.

Hall weaselled his way out of this predicament by letting his kid know that the tooth fairy was a day late because his tooth fairy had to travel all the way from Australia.

The next time Evan lost a took, Hall wanted to make up for his the tooth fairy’s tardiness the first time around. He decided the best way to do this was to get an Australian to become Evan’s (pretend) took fairy and leave him a voicemail. So, he put a call out to on social media and, boy, did people deliver.

After receiving many submissions, Hall found the perfect one and put the plan into motion.

When Evan looked under his pillow that morning, he was overjoyed.

“My son woke up and… found a reply… saying ‘Evan, thank you for leaving me another tooth. I left something special for you on dad’s phone’,” Hall said to the Daily Mail. “‘He burst into my room and woke me up at 6 a.m. of course, frantically explaining to me that I have to check my phone because the tooth fairy told him so.'”

Here’s the magical voicemail his son heard:

Sweet, right? Little E is lucky to have a dad like that. Plus, who won’t want to have good ol’ Bruce from “Down Under” as their tooth fairy?
