It’s official. Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are married and that’s a wrap on Day 1 of their Royal Wedding. The festivities move on to Saturday as the celebrations continue through the weekend. Since we already got a heads-up from the royals, we figured it was going to be a standard wedding, not too far off from what we saw in May during Harry and Meghan‘s nuptials. But surprisingly, Eugenie and Jack’s wedding had so many moments we didn’t see coming, we’re still sitting here with our jaws on the floor.
Fergie warms up the crowd
All Sarah Ferguson had to do was follow daughter Beatrice up the steps and into the church. Oh, Ferg.

Philip showed up
There was talk the Duke of Edinburgh might not make it as it’s been reported he operates on a “wake up and see how I feel” basis, but guess he felt great today. What a trooper.
Demi Moore was there?
Funnily enough, Demi is pals with Fergie. Both ladies were in their heyday at the same time so they’ve remained friendly ever since.
The wind made for quite the unwanted guest
Just ask Peter and Autumn Phillips and Zara and Mike Tindall, among others!
Forget the wind and bring on the heat
Cara Delevingne was fire in her top hat and tails, forgoing the typical frilly dress.
Cara’s suit was so distracting that no one seemed to notice Pippa and the Jameses (husband Matthews, brother Middleton) walking behind them. Gasp!
Little Louis takes a tumble
Louis de Givenchy tripped up the steps before his page boy duties even began but that’s just kids just being kids, right?
Charlotte’s a show-off
Charlotte wanted to show Louis how it was done but you know she wouldn’t have dared done it if mom Kate was nearby.
George was very un-George-like
The future king of England goofing around almost never happens.
Oh, no, he didn’t
Charlotte wasn’t having it, though. Man, she’s cute — though, technically, that’s always expected.
The low back of Eugenie’s dress was reportedly specifically designed to show off her large scar, which she got after enduring an eight-hour surgery at age 12, to correct her scoliosis. Beautiful tribute to an experience that only made her stronger.
I see you
Jack kept his glasses on so he could clearly see Eugenie come up the aisle. (He adorably whipped them off by the time she got to him, though.)
Hmm, maybe Jack should’ve kept them on while he fumbled with the ring. What’s he got to be nervous about?
Will and Kate showing some rare, sneaky PDA will give you all the feels. Maybe Harry and Meghan’s influence?

Prince Andrew and Fergie proved how awesome they are once again. Even though they’ve been divorced for years and have weathered all kinds of scandals, that doesn’t mean they can’t come together for their daughter’s wedding and actually look like they don’t hate each other. Sigh.
