Get your resumes ready, folks. Because it looks like we may have found one of the best places to work ever.

While most Canadians are used to fighting tooth and nail to squeeze any paid vacation time out of their employer, there’s one Toronto-based company that actually covers the cost of its employees’ vacations. Meaning you could be laying on sunny, Caribbean beaches on your boss’ dime.

Melody Adhami, Chief Operations Officer for marketing agency Plastic Mobile (AKA best company ever) said she came up with the idea after a particularly long night at the office. Pizza boxes were stacked high, everyone was exhausted and eventually one member of the team slumped into a chair and said “I really need a vacation”.

Half jokingly at first, she replied “If we hit our goals, I’ll take you all on vacation.”

The company has so far paid for its entire staff to relax at places like Costa Rica, Jamaica, cottage country–even circus school. And make no mistake, these vacations don’t have a work element at all. There are no team-building exercises, no training seminars, no work-related BS whatsoever.

“It’s a one-hundred per cent have fun kind of deal,” Adhami said.

Activities covered include horseback riding, zip lining and tubing on the back of a boat, to name just a few. While it may sound like it’s just an awesome employee perk though, Adhami says these vacations are helping to bring her team together and increase productivity.

Her staff certainly seem to agree.

“Not only does it make our friendships stronger, we come back refreshed,” Parisa Durrani, Director of Mobile Strategy said. “We call ourselves ‘the family.'”

Durrani even noted that when she got married last year, nearly everyone from her office was invited to attend the ceremony.

Now for the million dollar question: Is Plastic Mobile hiring?

“We are always hiring,” Adhami said.
