Whilst you were caught up in your inspiration over the triumph that was the #Time’sUp initiative taking their message to the Golden Globes, you may also have found yourself wondering what a few of the stars had done to get such fresh-looking skin.

This is Us actress Mandy Moore, who, let’s be honest, always look fresh-faced, took to Instagram stories to show us what’s really involved with crafting such a dewy and glowing look. Her secret to gorgeous skin? Joanna Vargas. Vargas is the go-to pair of hands when it comes to getting skin awards-ceremony ready, and she’s worked with the likes of Elisabeth Moss, Debra Messing, and Dakota Johnson too.

It turns out Vargas freezes the face to help get the circulation moving, improving the skin’s natural oxygenation and lymphatic drainage, producing an anti-inflammatory effect. You may well have heard about it before — it’s called cryotherapy, and can be used on the whole body too, but for a very short burst of time (no more than 3 minutes during which you may be at a temperature of -160°C).

As well as undergoing Vargas’ Supernova facial treatment, some celebs opt to also treat their whole bodies before the big show.

The Full Body Detox Peel includes microdermabrasion of the entire body, followed by a luxurious massage with coconut oil, which is known to leave skin hydrated, refreshed, and smooth.

And Mandy showed us the effect of such a treatment, leaving her skin refreshed and gorgeously glowing. Where can we sign up?
