Lookout world, there’s a mini 007 coming soon! Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz have announced that they are expecting their first child together.
After being asked by The New York Times for the secret to remaining beautiful, youthful and glowing at 48 (it’s not an avocado face mask or acupuncture like the interviewer assumed) she shared the news.
“I’ll be showing soon,” she said after lifting up her sweater to show her interviewer. “Daniel and I are so happy. We’re going to have a little human. We can’t wait to meet him or her. It’s all such a mystery.”
The couple has been married since 2011 after dating for only six months. They both have children from previous relationships; Weisz has an 11-year-old son and Craig has a 25-year-old daughter, so this won’t be their first attempt at parenting.
“I’m very happy being married, very, very happy,” Weisz says. She and Craig are notoriously private when it comes to their romance. “We’re just really crap at talking about our private lives.”
The actress told Evening Standard earlier this year that she never thought she’d even get married before meeting Craig.
“I never thought I would get married. It was not an ambition of mine. It was the opposite,” she said. “I couldn’t relate to romantic comedies — marriage seems to be the whole point of them. Then it just happened, happily, at a more mature moment.”
Congratulations to the couple! We can’t wait to see James Bond holding a baby.
