While many with freckles go to great lengths to hide’em, the grass is always greener—or skin always prettier—on the other side. And one beauty innovator is helping admirers of Pippi Longstocking grow, or rather, paint on, their own freckles.
Freck Yourself founder Remi Brixton has developed a freckle application system, consisting of self-adhesive stencils and a rollerball-like applicator filled with a formula that’s similar to self-tanner. It actually seems pretty simple to use.
With one application, freckles can last two days. When applied daily, freckles can last four to six weeks. All previously applied markings will fade, which will give you a natural, layered look.
Unlike drawing on freckles with an eyeliner or makeup product, these freckles won’t smudge or come off when you wash your face.
Freck Yourself is up for funding on Kickstarter, and Brixton promises more iterations of the product going forward – like Freck Yourself Profresh, which can be applied over foundation; and Freck Spray for adding freckles to the body.
People with actual freckles are probably shaking their darned heads right now.
