It’s time for celebrity feuders Katy and Taylor, Dwayne and Vin, and Kanye and Jay-Z to bow down. A new feud is brewing at the White House and it’s stemming from who gets the honour of being married to Donald Trump. In 2017, we’re all losers.
During an appearance this week on Good Morning America, Trump’s first wife Ivana Trump revealed that she’s ‘basically the First Lady.’ There’s something about having Trump as a last name that makes people really wishy-washy with facts.
Ivana was on the show to promote her new doorstop book Raising Trump, which chronicles her marriage to Trump and raising their three children, Donald Jr., Eric and Ivanka. The socialite revealed she has a ‘direct line’ to the White House, which would be way more impressive literally any other year in the history of the US.
“I have the direct number to White House, but I no really want to call him there because Melania is there,” said Ivana, reminding us of the friend who thinks getting sick constantly is something to brag about.
“I don’t want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like that,” she continued, “because I’m basically first Trump wife. I’m first lady, OK?”
No-kay. Ivana went on to say that sometimes “…I tell him to just not speak that much, okay?” Hmmmm. Maybe she should call more often. The interview goes downhill after that (not saying much), with Ivana speaking about her book on manners while also agreeing that it’s sometimes necessary to call people losers. Cool.

Proving she is totes a hollaback girl, Melania Trump has responded to Ivana’s ‘diss’ (if you were married to Trump, would you be offended if someone else claimed him?) and issued a press release saying she is proud to be FLOTUS.

The response also includes Melania saying she plans to use her title and role “to help children, not sell books.”
Well, she does also want to sell books, as shown in this tweet from September. Just not all books. Such a Trump move to want good things for only specific groups, amirite?
On National #ReadABookDay I encourage everyone to read a book. Let every page educate you & take you on an exciting journey!

Is this going to be the best feud of 2017? Should we be excited about this? Like, we feel gross, but we also want more.
If we throw Trump’s second wife Marla Maples into the mix, that’s enough cast members to make Real White House-wives of Washington. There could be group trips to Camp David. Tables being flipped during tea in the Rose Garden. Fights over who gets the cutest Secret Service escorts. And the tweets. The tweets!
We know this is pretty silly and really, who would actually watch it? Oh right. Everyone.
