We often use “bro” or “sis” as a term of endearment for a close friend, which says a lot about the bond that forms between real siblings.

Like ’em or not, they’re yours for life. That’s how family works, after all. So whether your sibling is currently a worst enemy or a best friend, the videos below are going to make you feel so lucky that you have one at all.

Remember the first time your parents said that you were going to be a big brother or sister? It was not a good day, not by any stretch. That’s why the girl in this first clip should look familiar. “Do you like your new baby sister?” NO!

Slowly but surely though, after your sibling is born, you start getting attached. Heck, you might even start to enjoy each other’s company. This big brother already found a way to make his newest family member laugh in the most adorable way ever:

Of course, you still hit bumps in the road every so often. After this baby stops annoyingly playing with his sister’s hair, he tries to kiss and make up. But she wasn’t about to have any of that. Wait until you see the expression the boy makes afterwards!

Then there are times when your sibling outright takes pleasure in your suffering (don’t you love these times?). This girl, for example, laughs in her sister’s face after she starts crying. That’s literally feeding off of her tears! This pair’s teenage years are going to be a joy:

No matter what happens though, you make up and become closer than ever. Because there’s nobody like a sibling, they’re irreplaceable and one of a kind. It’s a special relationship that these two demonstrate almost perfectly:
